well the year was 1929. And the town was Galveston in Texas. And the village that they came from, it could never be found. it was hidden in the hills of Transylvania. thats where the family was from. Where they've been known, they've been known, to lie about their pasts. It was the flood that drove my family from the south. Yeah they're lying bout every detail. Now the flood was something terrible. And the farm was washed away. there were jellyfish in the cornfields. there were electric eels in the hay. it was not like Transylvania, cause there was nothing left to say. half of the family headed north and the other half would stay. This was the story that was told to me. this was the first and only time. When i'd ask about the flood again. they would change it every time. It went from Galveston to Montreal. It went from Canada to Spain. And the village that they said was theirs. No one even knew its name. It was a flood.
